Lori Canlas-De Pala, Therapist
Lori has been working as a counsellor for over ten years in the communities of York Region and in Toronto. She has attained experience with bereavement, abuse, life changes, stress management, work-life-balance, self-esteem, family dynamics, trauma, compassion fatigue, and older adult care.
Lori is a registered Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
She has attained an Undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree in Social work. Also, she is a trained mediator with a certificate in Advanced Dispute Resolution. Furthermore, she has conducted educational wellness workshops and mentored social work students and social service students.
Lori uses a holistic approach looking at the mind, body and spirit connection (Bio-psycho-social-spiritual Theory) as well as a multiple array of approaches (Social Work and Psychology) to help serve the diversity of people, circumstances and cultures. These methods will assist her to channel your energy to a harmonized sense of self, well-being and community.
Lori does not believe in isolating you to certain methods of wellness, she would like to introduce you to what is a good fit for you while you are on your journey to well-being. She is well-connected with other services and resources in the community and will be happy to direct you to appropriate referrals.
